Working within the field of thought therapy, known as Cognitive Coaching/Therapy, I help clients to understand the principle of - we feel and behave according to how we think -I also teach Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Strategies and techniques) to enhance any therapist treatment package.
I recently undertook a University Degree in Teaching in the LifeLong Learning Sector and having obtained the DTLLS qualification, I teach for the Kent Hypnosis Institute.
As a qualified teacher, I am a member of the Institute for Learning and I am dedicated to Continual Professional Development within all my practice fields, which I believe allows me to continue to offer the most up-to-date and relevant treatment plans.
I also worked at MidKent College as a Personal Tutor, supporting and teaching over 120 students on an annual basis. Teaching the elements from the "Every Child Matters" Policy, including subjects such as: Study techniques, dealing with stress, STi's, alcohol, self esteem, smoking, CV's, interview techniques and health and safety to name a few. The role also included working with parents, agencies and staff members whilst dealing with various issues experienced by the students, from child abuse to teenage pregnancy.
