Frequently Asked Questions
How do you decide on which therapies or coaching techniques to use?
By assessing your case history and identifying your personal goal, I will discuss the various options that will be available to you, providing a rationale for each suggestion made. Based on that information, together we can decide which protocol/s to include within your programme.
Will I be required to do additional activities outside of each session?
Home activities are provided to re-enforce your personal programme. This will provide you with an opportunity to develop the changes required in your everyday life, enabling you to reach your goal. The added bonus of this approach is that you will save money as you progress through the programme at a quicker pace.
Does Clinical Hypnotherapy work for everybody?
Most people are fantastic candidates for achieving a very deep relaxed state known as hypnosis. We all naturally wonder in and out of this type of "Hypnotic state" during the day. Driving a car for example, from A to B and not realising how we got there is a similar state to hypnosis; not consciously aware of everything around us. This process can take some people a little longer, but having experienced it once makes it much easier the next time.
Will I keep control when I am in a relaxed hypnotic state?
You are in control at all times; a Clinical Hypnotherapist cannot and would not make you do anything that goes against your moral and ethical code. It is not the same as stage hypnosis which is purely for the publics’ entertainment.
What about confidentiality?
You do not need to inform anybody else unless you have a medical condition that may affect your treatment.
How do I make an appointment?
Go to the contacts page and complete the form online or give Susan a call on her confidential line 07801783236.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions will be guided by the assessment made by me during your initial consultation. You will be provided with a full explanation about your personal programme and you will be given an estimated time schedule of expected sessions at the end of the initial consultation. The number of sessions will also be dictated by how dedicated you are to completing the home activities.
